Before the booking
Tell us the commodity in plain language, its packing, and whether it travels ambient, chilled or frozen. Foodstuff moves on documents as much as on vessels: the earlier the description is fixed, the earlier we can confirm the closing date you want.
What we need with the cargo
Packing for a shared box
Groupage means your cartons travel beside someone else's. Food must be sealed, dry, odour-free and stackable; open tops, leaking drums and untreated timber are refused at the CFS rather than at the border. Where a destination bars co-loading with certain commodities, we build a separate box — tell us early and it costs you nothing.
Note
Requirements differ by destination and change without much warning. Confirm the current list with the documentation desk before every first shipment to a new market.
Cut-offs
Cargo at the CFS by the closing date on the schedule; documents with us one working day before. Certificates that arrive after the manifest closes move the box to the next sailing.
